PEACE: DREAMS, MYTHS, AND SOCIAL CHANGE 2nd Annual Central Florida Peace Conference sponsored by THE HEART OF FLORIDA PEACE ALLIANCE January 29 - 31, 2010 - Lake Ashton in Lake Wales, Florida
Becoming the Change the World Needs
Many people seek peace, but what can one person do? This exciting event offers opportunities to answer that important question and provides concrete ways you can become the change the world needs.
The Reverend Dr. Jeremy Taylor, world renown dream worker and author, will demonstrate how he blends the values of spirituality, Jungian perspectives, and "being the change" to create peace in our families, our communities, and our world. He will address the Unfolding Dramas of Violence and the Primary Causes of Waking Life Violence, as well as demonstrate how the Principals of Dream Work can Lead to Personal Change, Social Action, and Peace.
National and state representatives--Heart Phoenix, Rebecca Pujals-Jones, Ana Campos, and Dan Kahn--will discuss HR 808, National Peace Alliance Initiatives, and how participants can become involved in the campaign for a US Department of Peace.

“The world will never have a lasting peace so long as we reserve for war the finest of human qualities. Peace, no less than war, requires idealism and self-sacrifice and a righteous and Dynamic faith” –John Foster Dulles
Look for our Peace Picnic sign!
If you're a "Peace Person" come and join us at a peaceful gathering
of like-minded souls.
How about your guitar, singing voice, smiles, frisbee,
Sing, eat, play, talk, laugh. Any poi spinners or hoopers out there?
My bowl, empty now, will soon be
filled with precious food. Beings all over the world are struggling to
live. How fortunate I am to have something to eat. When many people on
this earth look at an empty bowl, they know their bowl will continue to
be empty for a long time. So the empty bowl is as important to honor as
the full bowl. We are grateful to have food to eat, and with this gatha,
this hymn, we can vow to find ways to help those who are hungry.

. “I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war
demonstrations. "Imagine all the people, living life in peace; You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved
by understanding." "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead "We cannot build peaceful relationships by killing each other's children." -Jimmy Carter "A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." -Martin Luther King Jr. "...Work for peace
in your heart and in the world.
Work for peace
and I say again, never give up "Observe good faith and justice towards all
Nations: cultivate peace and harmony with all." "Blessed are the peacemakers... " -Jesus
