Look for our Peace Picnic sign!
If you're a "Peace Person" come and join us at a peaceful gathering
of like-minded souls. How about your guitar, singing voice, smiles, frisbee,
Sing, eat, play, talk, laugh. Any poi spinners or hoopers out there?
My bowl, empty now, will soon be
filled with precious food. Beings all over the world are struggling to
live. How fortunate I am to have something to eat. When many people on
this earth look at an empty bowl, they know their bowl will continue to
be empty for a long time. So the empty bowl is as important to honor as
the full bowl. We are grateful to have food to eat, and with this gatha,
this hymn, we can vow to find ways to help those who are hungry. http://www.plumvillage.org/

Our Open Letter to Adam Putnam regarding Iraq and the War on Terror
" If someone is too tired to give you a smile, leave one of your own, because no one needs a smile as much as those who have none to give." Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch

. “I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war
demonstrations. "Imagine all the people, living life in peace; You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved
by understanding." "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead "We cannot build peaceful relationships by killing each other's children." -Jimmy Carter "A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." -Martin Luther King Jr. "...Work for peace
in your heart and in the world.
Work for peace
and I say again, never give up "Observe good faith and justice towards all
Nations: cultivate peace and harmony with all." "Blessed are the peacemakers... " -Jesus
